The model in the Bible for Building God’s Way* is in the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was a Jewish slave and cupbearer to the Babylonian king, and God gave him a vision. His vision was to rebuild the wall and gates of the city of Jerusalem. He was granted a leave of absence from his work and traveled to Jerusalem to survey what needed to be done. He organized families to build the city gates, defended the work from rebel attack, asked for donations of materials and miraculously completed the task in 52 days. At the center of it all was Nehemiah’s faith in God and his ability to communicate the vision God had given him to the others who helped rebuild the wall.

Using the model of Nehemiah and the knowledge acquired through an active involvement in the building projects of Christian schools and churches throughout the United States, the Building God’s Way program was formed. This comprehensive system is based on the Affordable Building concept and is designed to assist Christian schools and churches in building affordable buildings. DCA's mission is to support churches and schools in the construction of new buildings by teaching and practicing each element of the program.
